Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection

TaskGuard Pro does not collect any personal information. Specifically, the app:

• Does not create user accounts or require sign-in
• Does not perform remote synchronization or cloud backup
• Does not track users across apps, websites, or devices
• Does not integrate advertising or analytics networks
• Does not access the network for the purpose of sending your data anywhere

2. Data Storage

Your tasks, due dates, priorities, categories, and local reminder states are stored only in the local database on your device. The database is protected with AES-256 encryption via SQLCipher. The encryption key is generated on-device and kept in the iOS Keychain. No data is ever uploaded to any server.

3. Permission Usage

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

• Notifications: Used solely to deliver due-date and overdue task reminders that you schedule. Requested at runtime; denied permission does not break the app — reminders simply won't appear as system notifications.

No other permissions (camera, location, contacts, photos, microphone, health, etc.) are requested.

4. Import and Export

When you choose to export or import a backup, the app uses the iOS system file picker and share sheet to handle JSON backup files. This action is triggered manually by you, and the app never transfers data in the background. The export file is a plain JSON document that you control and may share via any channel you choose.

5. Data Control

You have full control over your data. Within the app you can:

• Delete individual tasks at any time
• Clear all completed tasks in one action
• Export a JSON backup of your tasks
• Import a previously exported backup

All deletion operations affect only the local data on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all data permanently.

6. Third-Party Services

TaskGuard Pro does not use any third-party services that collect user data. It does not include SDKs from advertising networks, analytics providers, or social platforms.

7. Children's Privacy

TaskGuard Pro is a general productivity tool and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. No data is collected from users of any age.

8. Changes to This Policy

If the privacy practices of this app change in a future version, this page will be updated and the "Effective Date" above will reflect the most recent revision.
